"In 1995 while living and working on a horse farm in Western Pennslvania, I atteneded Equissage. I had access to dozens of horses daily and these were the worst of the lot..horses from the race track. They were tired and worn down and some had just given up. The manager of the farm, an old time horseman, scoffed at the idea of massage..he knew everything there was to know about horses. I stood my ground and took the farm owners favorite horse, Monkey, ( he was steadily losing more races than he won) and gave him a through massage. The next day the farm manager came to me and said "I don't know what you are doing, but keep on doing it! That horse has not raced that well in years!" I started a horse rehabilitation buisness that year and was very successful in restoring and rejuvinating horses using massage and herbs.
